Easter- Reel Youth Sunrise Service
April 05, 2010 05:17 AM PDT
This year teens from our Reel Youth did their own sunrise Easter service. They did everything from the music to the teaching- even the media! Finished. - The Scarlett ThreadApril 05, 2010 05:14 AM PDT
Almost 2000 years ago an innocent man hung on a cross and with his dying breath he uttered, “It is finished” He hung there lifeless, looking defeated by death, but looks can be deceiving. “It is Finished” was a cry of victory. It was God finishing only what He could finish. Come and journey with us as we explore the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Laying Down the Law- The Battle Between Liberty and LicenseApril 05, 2010 05:00 AM PDT
Jesus said he didn't come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. Yet Jesus was always breaking the laws. He healed people on the Sabbath (illegal to the Pharisees), he dined with gentiles (also frowned upon), he talked to women in public (a big no, no), and then there’s the whole hand washing fiasco (Read Mark 7). He also broke natural laws. He broke the laws of physics by walking on water, he broke the law of death by raising people from the dead, and the list goes on. So why did Jesus say he came to fulfill the Law when He was always breaking them? In this series we explore what Jesus meant, what 'Law' he was talking about, and how this all applies to us today.
